I wish I had the space for a meditation room in my home. An entire room devoted to distraction-free meditation? Sounds like a dream!
(Not convinced? Click here to read about why you need to just start meditating already.)
This post features seven of my favorite meditation rooms on Pinterest right now. Find out how to copy them to create your own meditation room, nook, or corner.
1. Rich textiles and cushions galore
Our first meditation room from Pinterest is so cozy and comfortable. I just want to crawl onto the cushions and sit for hours. The subdued jewel tones are really rocking my world too, for a sensory but subtle experience.
I like the soft rosy shades of this next meditation room too.

2. Or, go with lots of white.
If color isn’t your thing, lots of neutrals and white on white on white, like in this meditation room from Pinterest, is another great idea for your sacred space.

3. Plenty of plants
Plants are a no-brainer in a meditation room, like this one from Pinterest. House plants give us an instinctive sense of calm. They are also natural air filters.
4. Fill your meditation room with spiritual items that speak to you.
Is the pup included with this meditation room, Pinterest? Because I can’t even!
But seriously, check out the amazing gold and chakra-inspired decorative art on the walls. You should love being in your meditation space, and items of beauty can certainly help with that.
And if you’re like me, items of beauty and spiritual tools are often one and the same. Check out the close up view of the altar in the below meditation room, also from Pinterest.

5. Venture outdoors.
And finally, don’t underestimate a fully or partially outdoor meditation room, like the one from Pinterest shown below. If you’re an Angeleno like me, this is definitely a possibility.
Of course, the truth is you can meditate any time, anywhere, with or without any tools or furnishings whatsoever. But a dedicated meditation space is still on my dream home bucket list!
How would you furnish your dream meditation room? Let me know in the comments below!
